Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Director/Manager, Lic. No. 3521

Bruce has been working in the mortuary business since age 17. Bruce’s journey into the family business began as a graduate of Bernard’s High School. He continued his education at the University of Maryland on a sports scholarship. After working part time in the family business, Bruce had no idea or plans to change his career path. Bruce decided to leave the University of Maryland and went to Mercer County Community College where he graduated with an associate degree in Mortuary Science and received his funeral service education certificate. At the age of 20, he received his state license as a practitioner of mortuary science and started working with the family business as a full time funeral director and assistant manager. Bruce worked for various funeral homes before opening his very own funeral home in 2000.

As well as operating his own business, he is a member and past president of the Middlesex-Somerset County Funeral Directors Association and a member of the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association. Bruce is very involved in his community. He is a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville. Bruce is an active member of many organizations, including the Somerville Fire Department, Somerville Elks Lodge 1068, Somerville Knights of Columbus, AOH Somerset County Saint Patricks Division 1, Somerville St. Patrick’s Parade Committee, Somerville Exempt Fireman Association, Rotary Club of Somerville and Bridgewater, Fraternal Order of Eagles Somerset Aerie #2137, Somerset County 200 Club, Somerset County Business Partnership, and the Raritan Valley Masonic Lodge #46. In addition, Bruce is a longtime member of Raritan Valley Country Club as he enjoys playing golf when he is not working at the funeral home.

Linda VanArsdale* Office Manager/Owner

Linda is in charge of the business operations and handles all of the office administrative work. Although she is not a licensed funeral director, Linda is very vital to the office. Linda has worked side by side with Bruce since they started the business in 2000. She manages the office and also provides comfort and care to each family when needed. Linda oversees the directors appointments and services. When not pertaining to office work, Linda enjoys vacationing at her beach house in Monterey Beach and spending time with her two daughters and two granddaughters.

Brittany VanArsdale Peluso Funeral Director, Lic. No. 5137

Brittany is the third generation in the VanArsdale Family to continue in the funeral business. Throughout high school and college, she worked part time assisting her parents and learning the business at a young age. Brittany graduated from Bridgewater Raritan High School in 2009. She then continued her education at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ where she earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Management in 2013. Brittany furthered her education at American Academy of McAllister Institute in New York City where she earned an Associates of Science Degree and a Certificate of Proficiency in Funeral Service. After Brittany’s successful completion of the National Board Examination, State of New Jersey Law Exam and a Practical Examination, she received her Practitioner of Mortuary Science License from the State of New Jersey in September of 2016.

Brittany was raised in Bridgewater and continues to reside in the township with her husband David and two daughters Juliet and Natalie. She is currently a member of the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association and the Middlesex and Somerset County Funeral Directors Association. Brittany is a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Somerville. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family down the shore in Monterey Beach. Brittany is proud to have followed in her father’s footsteps and is committed to making herself a better Funeral Director and helping people at a difficult time in their lives.

Kevin Campbell* Funeral Director Assistant

Kevin Campbell has been working in the funeral business since 2013. Although not a licensed funeral director, he helps in assisting the funeral directors on first call removals, viewings, funerals, and any other tasks around the funeral home. Kevin is a retired Detective Sergeant First Class for Readington Township Police Department after serving 34 years. He is a former member of the Whitehouse Station Rescue Squad. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and doing crossword puzzles.
